We aim to respond within 2 business days. Please include as much detail as possible — for bug reports, the URL of the calculator, your inputs, and expected versus actual output all help us reproduce and fix issues quickly.

What to Contact Us About

Bug reports

If a calculator produces incorrect results, a reference table has a typo, or a feature doesn't work as expected, please report it. Include the URL, your inputs, expected output, and actual output if possible. We typically fix reported bugs within 1-2 days.

Corrections

Found a factual error in an explanation, a wrong conversion factor, or an outdated standard? We take corrections seriously and will update the page with attribution to the reporter (if requested).

Calculator requests

Don't see a calculator you need? Tell us what the calculation does, the formula, typical input ranges, and a link to an authoritative reference. We prioritize requests that have broad utility.

Partnerships and media

For educational partnerships, guest content, media inquiries, or embedding MegaCalc tools in your own site, please email us with details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is MegaCalc really free?

Yes. Every calculator and converter on the site is free with no signup, no ads injected into the calculation workflow, and no usage limits. We monetize through unobtrusive display advertising.

Do you store my calculation inputs?

No. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser — your inputs never leave your device. We do not log, store, or transmit the numbers you enter. This is true for every tool on the site including sensitive calculations like BMI, financial planning, and engineering design.

Where do your formulas come from?

We source formulas from authoritative references including engineering handbooks (Mark's, Perry's, Shigley's), ASME/ASTM/ISO standards, peer-reviewed textbooks, and NIST reference data. See our methodology page for details on how we verify and validate calculators.

Can I cite MegaCalc in a paper or report?

Yes. Please cite as: “MegaCalc — Free Online Calculators and Converters, https://megacalc.org”. For critical applications (safety-certified work, regulatory submissions, legal filings), we recommend cross-checking our results against primary references.

Can I embed your calculators in my own site?

We are exploring embed options. If you have a specific use case in mind (educational platform, university site, internal corporate tool), email us and we'll discuss.

About the Team

MegaCalc is built and maintained by a small team of engineers and developers who believe high-quality calculation tools should be freely available to everyone. Our calculators are implemented from published formulas in authoritative engineering references and verified against example problems from standard textbooks.

Learn more about our approach on the About page and read about our verification process in the Methodology documentation.
