By accessing or using MegaCalc ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of Service
MegaCalc provides free online unit conversion and calculation tools. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate conversions and calculations, MegaCalc makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of results for any particular purpose. All calculators implement formulas from authoritative engineering references and are verified against textbook examples, but no software is infallible. Always verify critical calculations — especially those with safety implications, financial consequences, or regulatory requirements — with authoritative primary sources or a qualified professional. Permitted Use
You may use MegaCalc for personal, educational, and commercial purposes, provided you do not: (a) scrape, crawl, or mass-download content in a way that burdens our servers or interferes with normal operation; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any part of the Service; (c) use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity; (d) republish substantial portions of our content (calculator descriptions, theory sections, worked examples) without written permission; (e) frame or embed MegaCalc pages within another site without authorization; or (f) use automated tools to submit excessive requests that could degrade service quality for other users.
Intellectual Property
The MegaCalc name, logo, site design, original educational content (including calculator descriptions, theory explanations, worked examples, and FAQ answers), and the software powering the calculators are the intellectual property of MegaCalc. The underlying mathematical formulas and conversion factors are derived from public international standards (SI, NIST, BIPM, IAPWS, ASME, ISO, and others) and are not proprietary. You may link to any page on MegaCalc freely and cite our content with proper attribution.
User Data and Privacy
MegaCalc calculators run entirely in your browser. We do not log, store, or transmit the values you enter into any calculator or converter. We use cookies for analytics and advertising as described in our Privacy Policy, which you can manage through the cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit. By continuing to use the Service after the consent banner appears, you acknowledge our data practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
Limitation of Liability
